Key features of the TMC-Compact include:

The TMC-Compact, as its name describes, is a small compact unit witch has a very small footprint as compared to other ESWL therapy systems. All the subsystems are integrated into one unit and no special arrangements are required to perform ESWL therapy.

Allows you to use any room as ESWL therapy room, just roll in the TMC-Compact for therapy and the system is ready for operation, as no other focalising and diagnosing systems are required. The system can be moved to the side of the room when not in use, thereby enables space saving.

Because of minimal initial settings, high energy output and a precise focal zone TMC-Compact lithotripter has an added advantage of greatly reducing treatment times. With the TMC-Compact lithotripter, treatment session of around 3000 shots generally takes only 40 to 50 minutes.

Long lasting consumables and ease of availability enables distinct saving over recurring operational expenses. Description

This eswl system itself is built on a custom module-based architecture with an ability to customise into multiple treatment modes. TMC-X4 uses design and concepts that have been specially made for making the treatment far more easier. The X4 also uses some treatment modes for the first time in the ESWL treatment history, making their way beyond the legacy ESWL environment, that too, naturally. For example, the "Respiration multi-Mode" (RmM). Making use of the systems ability to be painless a bust of shockwaves hit the calculus on exhale. This stone-destructive multi-mode method allows you to fragment renal stones faster and with ease, it also works with pin-point accuracy as in the exhale mode the stone becomes stationery for a few moments.

Brief introduction: ESWL is the recommended therapy for around 80% of all stones, because it is safe, quick, effective and non-invasive. The effectiveness of ESWL depends largely on the composition and size of the stone. For stones measuring less than or equal to 2.5 cm, success rates are around 94%. (As observed on TMC Lithotripters manufactured by TMC Europa Ltd)

Intended Use: ESWL works best for all sorts of kidney stones measuring between 5 mm and 25 mm and for ureteral stones in the middle and upper third. Softer stones such as uric acid stones etc. disintegrate very easily however hard stones like calcium oxalate monohydrate or cystine stones require multiple sittings.

Side-effect: Some patients will see blood in their urine for a time. This is normal as the stone particles pass. Occasionally, Discomfort or fever may occur as the stone pieces pass.

• Acute urinary tract infection or urosepsis
• Uncorrected bleeding disorders or coagulopathies
• Pregnancy
• Uncorrected obstruction distal to the stone

• Body habitus: Morbid obesity and orthopaedic or spinal deformities may complicate or prevent proper positioning. In these situations, the patient positioning in advance should be done to ensure the practicality of the approach.
• Renal ectopy or malformations (e.g., horseshoe kidneys and pelvic kidneys)
• Complex intrarenal drainage (e.g., infundibular stenosis)
• Poorly controlled hypertension (due to increased bleeding risk)
• Gastrointestinal disorders: In rare cases, these may be exacerbated after ESWL treatment.
• Renal insufficiency: Stone-free rates in patients with renal insufficiency (57%) (serum creatinine level of 2–2.9 mg/dL) were significantly lower than in patients with better renal function (66%) (Serum creatinine level <2 mg/dL).

X-Ray Localisation

The 'TMC-X4' uses a U-Arm mounted X-ray and Image intensifier system as a default method for Stone Localisation. If you need Ultrasound localisation it can be provided on request.

X-ray Localisation

X-ray Localisation has been a proven golden standard for pin-point accurate targeting of calculi for Shock Wave Lithotripsy. The TMC-X4 incorporates specifically designed fluoroscopy X-ray U-Arm and an optional ultrasound attachment which can be used for precise stone positioning and real time monitoring respectively. Precise targeting can be achieved in the 'X4' due to the iso centric design of the fluoroscopic U-Arm, which is pre-aligned at the point of F2, reducing the chances of human error in focalising with a separate therapy head and imaging system, like a C-arm

The X-Ray dose administered to the patient during the treatment on The TMC-X4 has been highly minimised, by reducing the distance between the patient and the image intensifier. The U-Arm automatically swivels to provide view in two projections, straight and oblique for precise stone localisation. The calculi are adjusted using two projection directions, while the view to the focus area is maintained, even for all intermediary positions. The high resolution CCD camera and Color LCD monitor provides superior high contrast images which can be easily viewed at a wide range and angle.

The TMC-X4 incorporates specifically designed fully motorised fluoroscopy U-Arm and an ultrasound attachment which can be used for precise stone positioning and real time monitoring respectively. Precise targeting can be achieved due to the iso-centric design of the fluoroscopic U-Arm.
